    somewhat, except Baxter will play this year, while May is likely done for the season....thats not the official stance, just what Ive heard.

    this is Baxters 4th year, so he may be in the last year of his rookie contract

    this if from the release:

    "Initially drafted by the Bulls with the 44th overall pick in the second round of the 2002 NBA Draft, Baxter was selected by the Bobcats in the 2004 Charlotte Expansion from Washington as a restricted free agent. However, under Expansion Agreement rules, he became an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2004 and was free to sign with any NBA team."

    he signed a 1 year with Houston for the minimum in Sept. so no big cap relief after the year. at least he isnt costing much.
