umm...they already hired a no name coach. why dont you give them a chance to resign their own guys before you say they dont spend any money. and who would be a significant free agent that makes sense team wise and money wise? names please

I know that, what I was saying is that if they do not add anyone in free agency and let Wallace leave then they are starting to look a lot like the Hornets.

I am not sure who they should add, I do not follow the NBA any more and I do not know who is still good and who has gotten old and washed up. Kevin Garnett might be available via trade and would be a nice addition to the team.

You seem to forget that those ill feelings still persist. It isn't like people aren't going to see the Bobcats because they have better things to do. They aren't going because people still resent the NBA for what happened back then.
Not really. They continued to win right up until the end, even after they traded Mourning.
And McCrory forced the city to pay for an arena it voted against. You seem to forget about that too.
The Hornets pulled far too many fans for too long to say that Charlotte can't support a team. They can, which is precisely why their refusal to see the Bobcats is so damning. This region is fed up with the NBA, didn't want a new franchise, and won't support this one regardless of what happens.

Stop trying to be argumentative. You know that I'm right.

I don't believe you're right. You're simply making predictions and you're clouded by your own bias against the NBA. This isn't really your arena, stick to football.

Kobe hates Charlotte. When we drafted him he said he would never play here and how he wanted to be in a big market with a spotlight which Charlotte would not give him. Going to the Hornets games in the early to mid 90's was awesome. They were the only thing going on in town and that place was packed. I sat in Row R of section 203 for a decade and it'd be filled all the way up to the top. I think people now think going to a Bobcats game would be like going to Freaknik. Whether that's true or not that is a lot of the perception, especially with the owner being the guy who founded BET. They have an image problem, but I still support them, as long as they don't get Noah I'll be happy.

Sure, I am biased against the NBA, since I'm one of those people who hasn't forgiven the league for its complicity in Shinn's shenanigans. But I also provided facts to back up what I'm saying. Did you?

I think the only hole in your statements was the Bugs being good until the end--if memory serves (and I could be wrong because I wasn't here yet), the Hornets missed the playoffs the last 2 years in CLT. By that time, Shinn was reviled, good players were gone (or going).

I wouldn't say its time to kick the plug, but I do agree the the sand is running out of the hourglass for the Bobcats to make a serious dent into the minds of the area, and region.

No, they made the playoffs those last two years. They lost to the Bucks and Nets in the conference semis each year. They should have made the conference finals when they played the Bucks, but they choked game 6 away and wound up losing in 7 games.
