I think their plan is to wait until next season to jump heavily into the free agent market. They might pick up a role player or two this season, but nothing major.

I do not follow the NBA very closely and I do not know the rules about when you can and can not sign players. I will admit to being a very casual fan. I have not kept up with it since a couple of years before the Hornets left town. To my limited knowledge the Bobcats have not really tried to land any significant free agents yet. The first two years have just been to build a base I guess. It is time they starting trying to compete a little more though. I am not sure how much Stojakovich wants but he is a good shooter and might help loosen things up inside for Okafor and company.

Stojakovich just opted out of his contract yesterday. he was due to make 8 million next year. he wants to sign a long term somewhere. doubt its here. I keep hearing that they are waiting until next year before spending any big money on FA's.

Word is that the Suns are going to end up trading Sean Marion and keep Boris Diaw eventually.

I think that's where Jordan will be a big help. If this year's Bobcats can even look respectable, add that to young players having the appeal of playing for Jordan and you'll get people here. If I'm a free agent that is looking at the market the first thing I look for is the most money... Charlotte can do that. The next thing I look at is if I can go to a team that can win a Champioship... Charlotte CAN'T do that. The thrid thing is the X-Factor... environment, tv exposure, other famous names (this is where Jordan comes in). Jordan gives the team a boost there. Maybe not a huge one, but every little bit helps.

Hey Bob, your daughter is kind of hot. Did you put allowing Emeka to drive the black snake up her shitter in his contract?
