Interesting. Maybe depressing. On the pre-game show, they asked Stephen A. Smith what he had heard about Bob Johnson. Smith that he was notoriously cheap and they could be looking to trade down.

    ...

That doesn't make Clay happy. I was hoping he was making a joke, making fun of George Shinn. But apparently not.

It has been really hard for me to get into this team. There is no info or coverage of the team at all locally or nationally. And to hear that the owner is cheap...makes it worse for me. Could be a long, long, long ride as we continue to be part of the lottery process...a la the Clippers.

Nope he is talking trade down to get Jameer Nelson. They don't want a high school player. I like the idea

There is no way he could be any worse than George Shinn was. I also like the idea of trading down, is there anybody that absolutely demands being picked with the fourth pick this year? I'd prefer to see us trade down a few spots and pick up an extra second rounder this year, or maybe a first rounder next year.

I guess the question is who really wants to trade up in this weak draft.

this seems like the weakest draft in a long time. 2000 was pretty awful. 2001 too.

    Damn highschool kids.

Well looking at the entire draft order 1st round, Utah got 3 first round picks. No way I see them keeping 3 rookies on their roster (unless they pick some international kid they KNOW is not coming over to play).

300 million for the team and he gets labeled cheap? Wow! I also remember him donating like a million dollars to the local YMCA when he first arrived in Charlotte.
