I think that has less to do with his net worth and more to do with the fact that all-star NBA players are never going to want to sign here. I hope I'm wrong but what's the highest profile free agent a Charlotte team has ever signed? Johnny Newman?

The Panthers do not seem to have much trouble signing free agents. The Hornets had cheap ownership as well.

It's different in the NBA than it is in the NFL, but somehow I knew you'd respond with that stupid ass argument.

We'll try this from a different angle, how many high profile free agents in the NBA ever switch teams? Not many.

Did people think that players would want to play for a minority owner earlier on? The only color players are interested in is green. If nothing else a new owner would give Riddell a new handle to use

the color green and a chance to win...two things not going for Charlotte at the moment.

Most if not all of those were trades verses free agents. Name a big name free agent the Bobcats have ever courted? *crickets*
