it frees up another scholarship, and if I were Thomas, that would make me want to come to Duke more since he can start right away at the power forward spot, and Kevin Love has UNC really high, but he'd have to compete with Hansbrough, Wright, and Stephenson, and at Duke he would start right away, and could be the main guy in the middle if McRoberts goes pro, which if he doesn't this year, he'll go next year.

If McRoberts goes and we don't land Thomas Duke will have an 8-20 season....if we're lucky. Only Zoubek over 6'8" isn't a thought that will have me sleeping well at night.

Duke will never go 8-20 because of Coach K. That 95-96 team didn't have that much talent and they made it to the second round of the tournament, and UNC fans were thinking 8-20 before this year and look how it turned out. Worse comes to worse, McRoberts and Boateng leave and all the freshmen and sophomores get to develop more and Duke has a better 2007 class than expected because of the two scholarships lost by Duke. That's what happened to UNC. All their freshmen got tons of experience and it will show next year. People were saying Duke would suck after '99, and '02 when they lost a ton of players. Someone will step up. Someone always does.

Well if the Boateng story is true, and McRob bonks out, it will take one more departure to put duke in UNC's position...What, oh what, would they do? Let's see if Nelson transfers to complete the exodus...I for one would love to see K coach those leftovers.

On a positive for the dookies, it does open scholly room...Unfortunately, that's no guarantee anymore...I thought surely Singler would've jumped on the blue bus by now but he doesn't seem the lock I once thought he was.

    I did too actually.

Why do so many recruits come to dook to transfer after one year? That seems to be an occurring theme. Another theme is K not developing a bench. Sucks :(

Well, wish the best for the Euro. Go get em kid.

Once would make it an occurring theme.

This is more like a REcurring theme.
