Did I just see Bo Pellini on the OU sideline?

Could he be entertaining the position of DC with the Sooners?

He's a homly sumbitch and I am damn sure it was him. I haven't been drinking, honest!

For the record, unofficially, I was correct. Pellini was named the Sooners DC. I haven't been able to find the story yet...but a couple of people have mentioned that to me.

    Wow.
Either Stoops has little faith in Venables or he has a specific structure he wants his D to have.
or Pellini was too good to pass up.

I think Venables is going to Arizona too? Pellini would be tough to pass up, don't you think.
I also noticed that McCarney at Iowa State raided the former Husker Offensive staff. 2-3 guys at least.

Venables to UA is new to me, but I haven't kept up.
If so, I wonder which happened first?

Pellini will be defensive co-coordinator with Venables, the same arrangement they had with Mike Stoops and Venables. Mike Stoops made all of the final calls before, now Venables is 'promoted' to making the final calls, with input from Pellini.

You can find the story here:

    or here:

Not surprising to see Pellini end up with OU for two reasons...1) friend of the family for years, playing for Stoops' father in high school in Youngstown, OH, and 2) what better way to stick it to Nebraska now that they are back on OU's schedule the next two years. He already said he's looking forward to Nov. 13 (game with the Huskers).

Bill Callahan and the West Coast offense at Nebraska.....puh-lease.....probably one of the 7 signs of the Apocalypse.
