    It was probably fairly accurate at one time. But now it's pretty much obsolete because people have on average changed dimensions, e.g. a bit taller, so the ratio is now different than when the BMI was first conceived.

    You have to keep in mind that you will never reach that low of a weight. Everyone is built so differently you can't just put them all in a list and expect it to work for everyone. It should be taken on an individual scale. I will never been as small as I'm supposed to be either. I can't be 100lbs unless I only eat twice a week.

    Yeah, I've come to terms with that, but it sucks that things like insurance use these numbers in determining coverages/premiums.
