Well, as an employee of Blockbuster Video, I can tell you having you assholes come in and bitch at us like it's our fault does no good.

Movie Pass customers aren't the reason movies aren't in stock, it's fucking numbnuts who keep their movies out for a month and a half and then bitch because they have to pay 10 dollars for the fucking movie when we told them they would have to pay for it.

This job would be great if it wasn't for the fucking customers.

    P.S. Incredibles is worth owning.

well lets see, who's idea was it to make a fucking ad campaign highlighting the "no more late fees" idea? People are generally stupid as fuck, which is why a company must plan for everything. Saying there are no late fees will make people believe it, even if it's not true in the slightest.

Should have filled the back of the stores with more movies in case this happened. Now people go to netflix out of anger.

People are fucking stupid. I don't care if they go to netflix, I wish more of them would. The movie pass is a pain in the ass because these fucks with nothing better to do show up at blockbuster at 11:59 at night to switch out their movies. Who is so pathetic that they can't find anything better to do than chill at blockbuster at midnight?

That 1.25 is a real pain in the ass too, you'd be amazed at how angry people get when we tell them there is a restocking fee, tell them they get it after 8 days, and then they have to pay it and they piss their fucking pants.

However, in the average customer's defense (a corporate policy that I did not follow because it is fucked up), they told us to not tell customers about our late fee policy unless they asked. That reason alone should keep you guys out of blockbuster, because that is royally fucked up.

Another thing, if you have a credit card on your account, get it taken off the next time you rent, they charge your shit if movies are over 8 days late and you just get a credit on your blockbuster account.

both of which are seriously fucked up.

That said, It's still not the employee's fault that movies aren't in stock, we're usually 90% sure somethings not in the drop box, we can't bring late fees back, and no we don't really give a shit that you have to wait an extra week to see a shitty ass movie like Open Water or Catwoman.

P.S. I agree, we should be getting a shit load more of popular titles, but Blockbuster shoots themselves in the foot more than any company I know. We have the worst fucking customer service.

    Bit 'em in the ass....

    Blockbuster settles 'no fee' claims

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Blockbuster Inc. has agreed to pay $630,000 to settle claims from 47 states that said its "No Late Fees" rental policy deceived customers, the Pennsylvania attorney general's office said Tuesday.

Under the agreement, the top U.S. movie rental chain will also be required to make full refunds to customers who claim that they were misled and were charged restocking fees or the full price of movies rented if they were returned seven days after the due date, a statement from Attorney General Tom Corbett's office said.

It said the agreement, which also includes the District of Columbia, would dramatically alter the way Blockbuster advertises its "No Late Fees" policy in the future.

New Jersey last month had filed a lawsuit that accused Blockbuster of failing to disclose key terms of its new rental policy.

Under the "No Late Fees" policy, Blockbuster said customers would have a one-week grace period after the rental due date. If a movie or game were returned after the grace period, the customer would be charged for the purchase of the item.

If the item were returned within 30 days, the customer would receive an account credit but would be charged a restocking fee of $1.25.

Full details of the settlement were scheduled to be released later on Tuesday, Corbett's office added in a brief news release. The Pennsylvania attorney general's office was one of six leading state agencies to negotiate the agreement with Blockbuster.

A Blockbuster spokesman did not immediately return calls seeking comment.

Blockbuster -- which recently abandoned a bitter takeover battle for No. 2 U.S. movie renter Hollywood Entertainment Corp. -- unveiled the "No Late Fees" policy in December in an attempt to reinvigorate its business amid growing competition from online renters to discount retailers including Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (up $0.13 to $51.12, Research)
