30 straight days of some good ole fashioned tent revival with a modern twist . . . Man, I'm almost tempted to go out there and check it out!!!!!! You don't see too much of them these days. I'm sure Calvary Chapel will have a super big massive tent to handle the crowds. Has anyone ever been to one? Just wondering . . .

March 12 - April 20

SANTA ANA, Calif., March 5, 2007— Thirty-five years later, Calvary Chapel is back in a Big Top tent sponsoring a free nightly Christian concert followed by a life-changing message. Beginning March 12 through April 20, 2007, every Monday through Friday at 7:30 p.m., Pastor Chuck Smith will host The Big Tent Revival along with well-known speakers and musical artists. Admission is free, and all are encouraged to bring a friend.

As Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa gives their sanctuary a facelift, an enormous white tent has been erected at 3800 South Fairview, in Santa Ana, CA. to set the stage for a month-long concert to match no other. A line-up of speakers will include Franklin Graham, Greg Laurie, and Raul Ries, with musical artists and groups such as Love Song, Evan Wickham, and Dennis Agajanian. Different guest speakers and bands are booked to perform every night of the week.

In the early 70's barefoot and longhaired hippies flocked to a big tent in Santa Ana to hear Pastor Chuck teach from the Bible and listen to Christian rock bands. Few thought a worldwide phenomenon was underway, what has now become known as the "Jesus Movement." Today, Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa has a weekly attendance of 35,000 and has grown to more than 1200 churches worldwide. It is one of the ten largest Protestant churches in the United States.

The Big Tent Revival will be broadcast live on KWVE 107.9 FM and webcast live on calvarychapel.com every weeknight the event is scheduled.

I have been to some tent meetings. They used to have a big one at the Caldwell County Fairgrounds every year.
