    It seems as though he is reverting to his old ways - not listening to his baseball people and thinking that he can build a winner through free agency. This formula pretty much doomed them to irrelevancy throughout the 1980's. His pitching staff is in shambles. They have no one who can get on base consistently. His defense bites ass. all the character guys are leaving and being replaced by the likes of Gary Sheffield. And everyone is gonna be swinging for the fences so that they can get their share of the cash.

    Javier Vazquez is entering his prime, I think he turns 26 or 27 this season. I think he is the next Pedro, toiling in Montreal in his early twenties.

    Well, toiling isn't what Pedro did, but you know what I mean. HE'll feed off of the fact there will be more than 2,000 fans watching him pitch.

    or he won't be able to handle the pressure and we'll have another jeff weaver on our hands. i'm hoping for the latter.
