If your gonna come clean, come clean. Don't justify your actions, just admit you made a bad decision, you got hooked on the juice, and don't be stupid enough to believe and think we are gonna believe that the roids did not enhance your performance. When you start hitting 500 ft. bombs on a regular basis, go from hitting 40 to 60,70 HR's per season, and put on a display like you did at Fenway, please pull the dvd's out and watch yourself and quick denying that the roids didn't help you at all!!

 

I'm shocked, shocked I tell you! Amazing how the homerun record lasted with Ruth from 1927 to 1961 and Maris's from 1961 till 1998 then two guys in one year both break it. Then Bonds jacks that even higher a couple years later. MLB had to know something was fishy but I'm sure they didn't want to rock the boat with all the fans rolling back into the parks to watch these 'roid fueled slugger whack homers.

It's telling that McGuire felt the need to apologize to the Maris family. Without steroids, Maris still has the home run record.
