The best thing about BB is that nothing is scripted. The people aren't actors, theres no taped laughter tracks, and no rules on what to do. So you never know how the people are going to react to the different situations and each other.

 

They get dirty at night and show it on Showtime.

 

That's not accurate, is it? Don't they control what challenges there are, and what people are going to be on the show? Plus these people always remember to act for the cameras, so I can't imagine that there is much reality involved.

I was watching one season when they had a really hot chick and she got voted off on the second episode after being assured that she'd be safe because of some alliance the head of household didn't know about, and so I quit.

 

You're right. They do control certain things like who is in the house and what they are required to do for food and power, but they can't control how people will perform or react.

The alliances that get formed, change constantly. It's interesting to see how almost everyone starts out saying "I'm not going to lie or backstab or cheat" and 90% of them will do it within one day.
