well... when we get the red sun... which would turn the moon's shade to red, I'll worry a wee bit more, but really if you're saved... why worry?

I am not worried. This all happens after saved people are gone. It is just interesting to me.

That's not an assurance some saved people will be taken during the destruction before the rapture. So will die in the wars, the floods, the plagues, the devestation, and some will have to suffer the grief over their deaths. It won't be easy by any means even for the saved. Though the Bible does say the dead will walk the earth again one last time, so we'll all be back on earth before everyone ascends into heaven.

The rapture takes place before the tribulation so the saved to miss most of it. I have not studied this stuff in a long time but my pastor preached on it the other night and it started me thinking about it again.

I disagree. Don't get me wrong I'm sure there will be some unbelievable devestation after the rapture, but if you remember its not supposed to happen until years and years after the Anti-Christ's arrival. And that time period in itself is supposed to be a time of mass tribulation. Wars, disasters, etc. Sure there may be earth blowing up type stuff, but that may be after everyone is already gone so I consider the wrs, disaster, etc stuff while there is ppl on earth much worse.

It is my understanding that there is a seven year period that makes up the tribulation after the rapture. The first three and one half years are marked by peace and then the anti christ betrays Israel and all the bad stuff happens. I have not heard that the anti christ will bring any destruction prior to the rapture.

It said black sun and a red moon - which sounds like an eclipse. And I hate to tell you, but we already had that. And it was during that sure sign of Armegeddon - the night the Red Sox won the World Series. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid.

my bad I was focusing on the red moon. First thought that came to mind was when our sun becomes a red sun and when that happens it'll grow huge and burn the earth to a crisp. That sorta the way I envision the earth being destroyed as the Bible says. What most scientists and some Christians don't understand is that its possible for science and christianity to work handin hand.
