One that you started I might add... really what relevance does his healing have to do with football..? Its not like you have a proven winner coming in to help a team...

    >> This person knows all to well where Bline topics go... with or without me.

Nah, not really. I have faith that there wouldn't be a belligerent in any Beuerlein situation if you weren't in the discussion.

    >>Really, as long as the "regulars" keep baiting me, I'll take the bait...

Doesn't matter. This topic is relevant to the NFL and football, whereas arguing over your view of Beuerlein based on his past here doesn't seem to be anything but an opportunity to start things back up. Was I wrong?

    >>think back now... more times than not, I don't bring the guy up out of nowhere...

Doesn't matter. No one's calling you out, no one's insulting you. You're starting something, having someone else bring it up doesn't make it anyone else's problem.

    >>but to suggest that his healing will have any impact for any team is simply not relevant to football... it aint happening...

Makes me wonder why you're allowed to make that judgement for us on that? Seems like more than just Y2 believes this relevant. If it weren't relevant, I'd just pass over it rather than fussing like a child.

    >>If they are allowed to suggest that it might, I should be allowed to suggest that it will not... IMO.

He plays football. This is the football forum. Is that relevant? Yes.

he's the guy most people expect to be the top backup. I'm not certain that Husak can best him in a reserve situation, making Beuerlein the likely immediate replacement if not the long term one. Griese wasn't completely healthy last year and isn't currently 100%, who his backup is isn't only relevant, it has fantasy implication as well.

The topic is relevant, and your belligerence only recognizes that. Your dislike for Beuerlein doesn't keep it from being relevant.

Well you are probably right on this board and other Panther related boards.... but the funny thing is, the non Panther related boards I use to visit don't think he is anything more than a roster spot. People love him here because he was tuff, threw up some great individual stats and was a terrific guy off the field. But the fact remains he has yet to prove he can lead a team from start to finish to a winning season... guess he always had bad luck and bad teams...

No MvM, its not a hate I have for Bline - you've always been wrong about that... its a hate I have for the opinion that people seem to think he could lead a team to a winning season... I know and understand why you and a very few number of NFL fans think I hate the guy - I don't... funny thing is in 10 years, people (not just panther fans) will remember guys like Bubby Brister and Jim Harbough (probably spelled wrong)... before they will recall Steve...

Fair enough. It's probably not an obsession either,

    >>you've always been wrong about that... its a hate I have for the opinion that people seem to think he could lead a team to a winning season...

But see that's where our problem lies. What you're saying isn't a fact and yet you often preach it as if it is, being unwavering and belligerent.

You don't have the right to get uppity or mad when someone disagrees with you. By the way, you not only kept taking it up a level but you also were the one to bring up win/loss situations. You weren't defending your point, and you've admitted to going after what others think on purpose because you don't like what they have to say. Let's not do that. You bark all day if you think your opinion is being insulted.

    >>I know and understand why you and a very few number of NFL fans think I hate the guy - I don't...

then let it go. What did I say before? I stated that we all know what each other thinks on Beuerlein, especially relative to your own criteria on him. In other words, it's been done, nothing came of it except bad feelings, and yet you keep revisiting it. Don't.

    >>will remember guys like Bubby Brister and Jim Harbough (probably spelled wrong)... before they will recall Steve...

Harbaugh yes. Harbaugh was significant. No more than Beuerlein, no less, and it's hard for me to consider two Pro Bowlers equal or less than Bubby Brister. That's just my opinion, but I find it on sound thought, on unbiased opinion, and I find it something I believe most everyone would agree with.

Just let it go already. Christ. We get your point, we got it two years ago. Let it rest.

See that up there.... you take B-line topics there... I haven't seen anyone on this board take it where you takethis subject. You want it to go on on on on ..... once again SHUT UP .... your opinion is well noted and there wasn't a need for it to be stated again.

Don't you have your own Message Board?

If so, please go there and stay and talk about helmets and B-line and all the other BULLSHIT that flows out of your keyboard.

Suck my ass and take out your frustrations somewhere else. Sorry for assuming that this thread was started in a Football Forum which should imply that it has meaning to the game of Football. Well considering Steve did not play last year and more than likely will not this year, I'd say the only significance of starting a thread about his recovery is about his general well being (which is cool) - not much to do with or anything that will impact football though... - Perhaps todays news would have been a better place...

MvM - you are right, I have no facts and I am obsessed at defending my "opinion" on the guy's football skills. No facts, but I'd say what 12-14 years of play one can make assumptions that will eventually turn to fact - career loser.

i didn't see one person here say anything about a winning season but you sandi. you've got haywires sticking out all over the place. when someone touches one you freak the fuck out. it would be sweet if he has a chance to play and does well. good for him. so what. it's nice to hear he can throw the ball again. hope that arm holds up.
mags can you just ban him from the football page, and let him have access to the other areas of tbr. we're probably not going to hear 1 new thing from him all year. and it sucks when we actually decide to talk about something this time of year and his tendencies ruin it for the rest of us. or maybe a 2 month suspension from the football page to think about what it means to be part of a community.

I hate to say it Sandy, but they're all right. I dunno know if I've changed or if it's more noticeable outside of charlotte.com, but the problem is you.

Uh... huh? I don't know anyone outside of charlotte.com. Do you mean its gotten worse over here? vs the old charlotte.com?

As far as getting up tight or out of control... other than the text you read, most of the time, I am laughing as I type, really no tension at all... But typically when someone post a subject, any subject, a few non believers jump in and post a counter opinion. And even a few of the moderators piss people off... this is really the only topic that I think there is an issue.

Perhaps there should be a I Love Steve Forum and everyone that post there must sign off that they love him and will not talk bad about him. (As a football player)

Otherwise, yes, I probably read into the post at the very top wrong. When I first read it, it implied that the fact he was healing would mean something to Denver in the way of adding value... Now that I read it again, it was just a feel good story...

I learned a long time ago that the only thing sandman has is his life is his dislike for Steve B. Give it to him. If It makes his life complete so be it. We all know where he stands...in it up to his nose. Don't duck Sleepy...............

An Old Coot glad that Steve is getting better. I don't like to see any NFL player hurt.
