I was in Islands of Adventure in Orlando and we had Smoked Ribs, but what we REALLY enjoyed was this fresh corn bread and roasted corn that came along with it.

I bought two ears of sweet corn in the husk, but I am not sure the best way to roast them. I put them in the oven for 25 minutes at 275 degrees just to see what would happen. They came out yellow, but very raw. I didn't want them to burn. I left them in the husks.

It seemed these people had put spices inside the husk when they roasted theirs.

Any tips to getting it good and salty, buttery and sweet?

Pull back the husk but leave attached and brush with salt & pepper butter before wrapping the hust back around it. Then just grill it. Or just throw it on the gill and season afterwards.

When I do them on the grill, I soak them in water in the husk for at least an hour or two. Make sure they are submerged by putting a plate on them.

that's about what I do, but I also soak the corn in water and beer for a couple hours first.

Soak in water for a few hours, that probably explains it.

    I didn't do that.

How long do you generally put them on the grill?
I was thinking the oven would somehow be better because it would heat it on all sides and not burn. My grill gets really hot.

I've always wanted to do the 'in the husk' thing on the grill, but I envision those worms that used to come off corn out of the garden all grilled up in my corn.

    :vomick/

Can you peel all that back, clean it good, warsh it and then re-wrap it?

I take mine out of the husk and wrap them in tinfoil with butter and pepper, then put them on the grill.

Yeah me too, but I do like the husk idea- but not a wormy husk.
