I was referring to a contract actually preventing a coach from leaving one school to go to another school before the contract expired. We all know that is not the case.

    skip/ecu in 2005

    ...have you lost your mind?
For Skip/ECU to follow John Thompsons BS, and in his first year go 5-6.... if thats not progress then how much $ can you raise in the "fund" to pay for a better coach?
And, as for not playing any top 25 opponents in 2005, thats the opponents problem, not ECUs.
As for Wake, my heart is with them, my dad was a AA in baseball, and part of the field house has his name honored on it.
But with all respect to Wake, and respect they DO deserve, to thinnk that they are the best team in the carolinas is not a farse. On any given day, Coach A+, as I call him, can put the deacs in a spot to win.
With respect to QB Skinner, if he goes down, bad news.
With respect to Pinkney, if he goes down, ECU has Kass, who at 6'5'' and NFL arm can step in and rock.
Now why does ECU go with Pinkney? Because of his mobility and, JMO, a lackluster Off-line.
Same thing goes for NCSU, a drop back passer in that program won't fit right now. If the off-line can blow the d-line off the ball and give the runningbacks a chance to go 4-5 yards+/carry, then that will freeze the pass rush on a drop back passer.
Bam! In comes Wilson at NCSU.
    WVU, samething.
    Va. Tech, Tyrod Taylor

Oh well, coaching at ECU and Wake have alot in common, and when these schools get coaches that make winning waves......well its just a matter of time that one of two things happen
    1. $$$$$$
    2. They go to the next school paying the $$$$$:arabia:

Read the other day his buyout is $150k. Not a high amount to turn away big programs.

Incorrect on both counts. Pinkney is mobile, but the offensive line is a good one and Pinkney is in there because he makes better decisions with the football than Kass does. Kass has arm strength, but no brain to go with it, and the brain is much more important for a quarterback.
