....Hey Q, sorry, SCREW Jersey Mikes and Peter Cancro, the big dog.
If that money hungry monger would leave the franchisees a piece of the pie, you'd see a damn good product.
The taste, BREAD, and concept is there, but we pay huge %s of sales, not profit, and all product, paper, etc., is controlled by corporate.
All of the turkey, ham, cheeses, are purchased through a vendor.
The only on site cooked item is the roast beef.
Although its good, health dept. standards require that the heat content of the meat is X and therefor a customer won't get a real tender medium rare choice of meat, which we all know is a must for roast beef.
****When you go to JM, order double meat, and tell them extra wet....especially with Italian type subs. ie oil/vin.
If you're getting a hot sub, politely jump the line and let them know, the guys in the back cooking the hots have nothing to do with the line on the counter.

yeah they are good. Always ate at the one on South Blvd in Pineville now have one right across from work in Greensboro.

Ghassan's in Greensboro has awesome steak and cheese subs.

Never had a Penn Station or Firehouse sub. Quizno's always looks better than it tastes. I eat at Subway a lot just because there's one on every corner.

Also one by Carolina Place Mall, Park Road Extension between Circle K and Hwy. 51, near Coach's Bar

I get the Dagwood and the Rueben there. When I travel to Cincinnati or Dayton (twice a year), there are as many Penn Stations there as there are churches in the South... everywhere. Chain out of Ohio that is still spreading.

Forgot there is one right off of I-77 in Rock Hill (the exit with the cheap gas)
