I voted for #34, but that mention of Morris brings back my youth when I was torn from being a Steeler Fan and the team my dad had loyalties to... the Flippers....

QB - Bradshaw (Montana 2nd - he really overachieved IMO))
    RB - Payton/toss up
TE - Walls (yes Walls - see as pissed as I was at him last year, I can't take away his greatness)
    WR - Swann, Rice, Stallworth,

Bradshaw over Montana? Montana had better intangables, everybody knows that.:D

You are right, no argument, but hey I was a Steeler fan since being a toddler - until of course we got the Panthers...

  5. Sandman, no wonder I like you! A Steeler fan...

Bradshaw was labled "dumb" as a rookie, and fans cheered when he was carted off the field - being replaced by Jefferson St. Joe Gilliam, or, before that, the Notre Dame sensation, Terry Hanratty.

I'd still take Terry over Joe if the two teams (any of the 70's Steeler teams) played.

And when the game was on the line, Franco Harris delivered. I definitely would have taken Payton over Franco, but Earl Campbell? Evidently not many of you guys saw the Longhorn be turned into burger by the Steelers. Earl was tough as nails - never forget when Donnie Shell separated Earl from his helmet.

But no one was better than Sweetness.

Hell why choose, sign all of them up and rotate. I used to be a steeler fan hardcore. So for game performance in the big one you have to throw in Franco! Look at the stats.

I voted for Brown. He was a men among boys at that time.

  8. I had to vote for Jim Brown, ever so slightly over Sweetness. Brown ran like a sledgehammer and just didn't quit. I'd certainly take either one of them.

    Brown 1, Payton 1A.

Brown 9yrs, led league in rushing 8 of 9 yrs. Two time MVP and Rookie of the Year. 9 time Pro Bowler. 12.312 yds rushing, 262 receptions for 3147 yds. 756 points scored. He did this playing 12 game seasons. Season Avg's Rushing-1368 yds Recieving 29/343 yds. Points scored 84 pts/yr

Payton. 16,726 yds rushing, 110 rushing TD's (125 combined). 429 receptions for 4538 yds. 9 time Pro Bowler, single game rushing leader with 275 yds. 77 games of 100+ yds. 13 yr career playing in 14 & 16 game seasons. Season Avg's Rushing 1286 Recieving 33/349 yds. Points scorded 58 pts/yr.

Two different style RB's Brown was pure power, Payton much more versatile, he could kill you with speed or run over your ass with that stiff arm of his.
