What a load of shit. 95% of those acts will be gone in 2 years.

Ever heard of Radiohead? I think they've sold a few records. Maybe 10 or 12 or so. Spoon's album is their 6th, and hit #10 on the U.S. charts. Buffalo Tom has been putting out good rock records since 1988. Also, someone better tell PJ Harvey that then, she's been doing it what, 17 years? Her first single was released in '91.

Expand your horizons Freak. There is more to music than what you hear on 99.7.

I suggest some light reading to start:

I think The Shins album hasn't received its due. Seems to be a lot of reasons, but it holds up on every listen, no longer how long it's been on the shelf. I don't think people want to give them their due because they're such a straight ahead live act.

Didn't see Radiohead on here. Arcade Fire is shaping up as a legitimate band as well.

Thank you for not saying All My Friends. Damn that song irritates me, and people seem to love it??? That looped synth noise drives me up a wall.

Expand my horizons by "discovering" PJ Harvey and Radiohead?

I could listen to those bands, I guess, if WHFS hadn't gone out of business from playing them over and over.

Sam Beam (Iron & Wine) will still be writing beautiful songs many years from now. The guy just is a songwriter. A damn good one too.

Thank god for non-clearchannel radio. Must be nice. Come down to Charlotte. They own what, all but one FM station of any note?

Speaking of local - Band of Horses and Iron & Wine have South Cack-a-lack roots.
