PI, i thought about renting that a few days ago without knowing it was mentioned in this thread. Whats it all about? Looks like a B&W flick.

Anyone ever seen "Once Were Warriors"?

Temeura Morrison kicks ass in that.

I'm seeing a lot of popular and/or big budgetr movies here that I wouldn't consider "cult", but I guess everyone has their own definitions. Here's some of my picks.

    Rocky Horror
    Sid and Nancy
    The (first) Evil Dead
    Fritz the Cat
    Warriors
    Heavy Metal
    This is Spinal Tap
    Easy Rider
    The Road Warrior

I'd throw in Dazed and Confused. I don't know what it did at the theaters, but it's on tv regularly. Whenever I stumble across it, I always watch it...again for the umpteenth time.

Memento is one of my favorites...Bought the DVD. You can actually play it in reverse...of course that would make the movie "normal."

My all-time favorite has to be "The Big Lebowski". Every so often I get a craving for White Russians and sit down and watch it.

    Another favorite is "Resevoir Dogs".

A movie not a lot of people have heard of is "Where the Buffalo Roam". Bill Murray plays Hunter S. Thompson and gives Johnny Depp a run for his money.

I just realized there aren't really any chick flicks listed. I don't think these are the BEST EVA cult films, but they are two of my favs.

    1) Girls Just Want to Have Fun. (Sarah Jessica Parker, Helen Hunt & Shannen Doherty)

    2) The Legend of Billy Gene. (what the hell happened to Helen Slater? She's been relegated to guest appearances.)
