    The live action version with Christopher Lambert is really funny in a B movie sort of way.

    oh, and a REALLY great take on the story is the animated version "grendel, grendel, grendel".

    omg, i laughed when i saw this. i freaking agree.


    i have to jump on the bandwagon here - wait till dvd or don't bother at all.

    (when the wench chick was wiping the table and her boobs were swaying they zoomed in on her ample cleavage. a guy behind me said "damn that is some good animation." a bit later when beowulf stripped naked that same guys female friend openly said "i'd like to see frontal animation." i laughed because i was thinking the same thing.)
