    looks like absolute garbage. robert zemeckis does good work usually, but polar express and this movie are really not what he should be trying to do.

    you can't motion capture actors and think it'll look like acting. the guy needs to familiarize himself with the "uncanny valley" cuz he's set up residence there.

    My wife and I went along with my daughter and her "friend" The animation was extraordinarily good. See Anjie Jolie naked sort of. Some of the fight scenes were good

    I think the movie relied too much on the computer animation . . . It looked really good don't get me wrong, but I felt like the movie was done last month by a group of MIT graduate students.

    They should've shot this movie in Scotland and then insert Angelina Jolie's character (as the dragon) & Grendel in later on. Would've looked like more effort went into shooting the movie

    the special FX look really cool...the acting looks like crap. i really don't have much desire to see it

    my beef with the graphics is that they served no point. when Zemeckis did Polar Express there was a reason to do it all CG. it wouldnt have worked as a live action film. with Beowulf there was no reason to make it 3d. that and the camera work was nauseating.
