bennett redshirting?

    i read over at ninerreport that marcus bennett is considering redshirting this year. why is he thinking about doing that??? we could really use him this year, he isnt hurt, and from what ive heard his grades are fine, so why would he do that?
    does anyone know anything???

    They think we are too deep at the guard position. I have never seen him play, but if he can play any defense at all he is the best 2 guard on the team.

    bennett is SOLID in every aspect of the game. i really think he could help this year. i'd love to see bennett and baldwin in the backcourt together

    I agree, would like to see bennett, baldwin backcourt, but what to do with brown and plavich. that could cause a major problem within the team.

    Brown & Plavich need to understand Defense is half the game. If you bench them, that simple fact may start to sink in.

    maybe that's the answer. bench them until they start playing some defense. but i'm afraid plavich doesn't have the quickness or speed to play good defense one on one.

    plavich sure has proven he likes to shoot the ball.
