Early Tampa Bay teams were horrid. Loved those Creme Sickle uniforms though

-Man, being able to watch the Panthers for only $15 bucks simply rocks :D  :D !!!!!!! My friend & I bumped into a scalper on Morehead St. on the way down to the stadium who had 4 tixs; we agreed on the price of $30, which I thought was for 1 tix. But nope, that was for 2 of them !!!!!!!!!!

-Went down to WFNZ's DOGHOUSE for the first time also; bumped into Dave Newman there who was waiting for a friend to come by. Also met face to face DJ 'The Suit' Stout (WFNZ's Ops Manager) and chatted with him for a few minutes (he realized who I was after I gave him my name). I didn't give him hell for dumping Jim Rome, which kinda surprised Dave; I expected it to happen eventually since his show never took off here (Rome dogging NASCAR continually on his show more or less did him in here in this market).

-Concerning the Game: Steve Smith kicked ass today  !!!! Jon Kitna wasn't that bad neither (at halftime, I thought they were going to be able to pull it out). Kinda puzzled though why they kneeled on the ball during the last play of the game vs. airing it out (yeah, your going to lose, but at least go down fighting   !!!!). Moose did pretty well today also (kinda wish he would do that for ever game vs. once a month :( !!!!). Defense wasn't on their A game today, but at least our offence was able to help them out this time. Near the end of the game, I was trying to start the chant 'We want 60 . . . We Want 60 !!!!!' but it never really took off :( . . . . .

-Kinda feel sorry for Bengals fans; Since their last Super Bowl visit, their team has simply sucked ass. Even a new stadium (Paul Brown Stadium) hasn't improved the fortunes of this team. Will his son Mike ever wake up and smell the coffee  ? ? He needs to step down and let football people run the team!!!!!!!!

Yep, Lorenzo is da bomb. Jevon Kearse used to call him 'Low Daddy' when he was a Titan. Might be the best pure blocking fullback in the league. The only thing I can think of that might put him half a step behind Jon Ritchie and Rob Konrad is his lack of size. But the man can definitely clear a path. I'm surprised Dillon hasn't had a better year. Teams must be putting 9 in the box and making the three stooges (Kitna, Frerotte, and Smith) beat them with the pass.

Another fine product from Fresno State University... :wink2:

Howard Griffith was only 230. And Grif would knock your ass good. If Hoover can stay as a utility back and H-back that's great but we need a fullback who can clear a hole, not just occupy a blocker and get knocked back. We already have that guy in Mangum.

I miss Howard Griffith. Never quite understood why the Panthers released him, but I wasn't into the team as much as I am now. Maybe the front office had their reasons. Willie Green and Rocket were two more head scratchers for me.

They had Scott Greene, who was a good athlete, and wanted to start him. Spent their money at linebacker instead. Basically went for flash at a few spots, and neglected others. Keeping either Griff or Christian would have been more than enough.
