What is Gantt's obsession with being "the old guy". He's like 50.


Odd branding decision.

 

I mean, it's likely to be McAdoo, but it's not rare for these things to be reported as done prematurely. Just report the story as it is.


Also, Rappaport regularly throws shit at the wall just to see what sticks. He's the most dubious NFL insider by far.

 

He was at PFT which is owned by NBC this means he probably had some time with Peter King who was doing the "I'm just an old guy" act in his mid forties so I'd guess that's the inspiration.

 

Troy was pissed he didn't get to call that game and he's been making up for lost time in interviews.

 

I sort of agree with him. Losing in the wildcard round is an empty feeling, especially if it's a home game on the back of winning your division. The entire year feels like a waste of energy.
