Beating Duke

Duke will get in if they win 20 games. They have the #4 SOS right now and they could be #1 SOS by the end of the year. I have NO idea what to expect from this team. I thought they played as well as they could have and Scheyer played his ass off. He looked like he was going to die at the end from running his ass off for the whole game. I think falling out of the polls is the ultimate motivator and the BC game is big. They played really well the last time they played BC. The Georgetown and Indiana wins are looking REALLY good right about now. The way Georgetown is playing right now they could win the big East and Indiana is looking like a solid #3 in the Big Ten and climbing in the ranks. What the real problem is, lack of inexperience, only 9 scholarship players, an unfavorable ACC schedule this year (although it goes in cycles, Duke got a tough tough schedule), and a weak link at the point. You can get away with having a weak link on the court, but if you have a weak link at PG you are going to struggle. This team is still 18-7. That's not bad for a lot of teams, but for Duke people freak out. The fact that it is getting so much news is a big form of respect for being so dominant for so long. Glad to see that UNC is the first story on Sportscenter instead of Duke tonight though . I thought Duke would come out looking sharp against Maryland and I thought it was the worst game they played all year. If they beat BC I will feel a lot better. Duke AND UNC will always get in if they are on the front side of the bubble. UNC got in when people thought they shouldn't (The whole Virginia sweeping UNC with the same record in conference and Virginia had one more win overall and didn't get in while UNC was an 8 or a 9 seed) and I think they went all the way to the Final Four (not saying this Duke team is a Final Four team by any stretch). This time last year Duke looked like an unstoppable force that no one was going to beat. A lot changes in 3 weeks.
