    1. The media feels that Fran had it set in his mind to leave as early as September. It has even been stated that for 2 days last winter he had "accepted" the Kansas job but was waiting to see if Notre Dame would want him during the wait Kansas found another coach.

    2. Fran's publicist was said to have been rumored to have contacted Mack Brown's people in Texas to gauge his interest in the FSU job if and when it comes open. His real target may have been Austin.

    3. An Alabama assistant coach was recruiting earlier this week and when told by the recruit that "this whole Fran uncertainty" had cooled him on Alabama the current Alabama assistant said "I'm here for Texas A&M not Alabama". That is downright classless.

    4. Fran said @ his press conference today that the return of the NCAA to the Alabama campus and possible reopening of the Memphis case (which now seems very likely) played a "major" role in his leaving for A&M.

    5. WJOX in Birmingham was reportedly told that there was an offshore account set up by Bammer boosters and paid players and recruits with this slush fund for years. Can you say "death penalty" I knew you could.

    6. Paul Bryant Jr. met Fran @ the airport yesterday and told him that IF he boarded the plane to College Station "not to come back".............he didn't.

    7. The website CoachFran.com was apparently linked somehow to an A&M web server as early as Nov. 25th. 7 days before Sloacum was fired. This is signifigant because Fran's publicist runs the website.

    8. Fran told his staff of the move to A&M on the Monday following the Auburn game also November 25th.

    9. Totally unrelated Paul Finebaum who openly criticized Coach Bowden for using "Let's Roll" as our team slogan, said Fran was "like an assassin in his actions" referencing his cold and emotionless move from Bama to A&M. FSU fans should hold Fbomb's feet to the fire on this one. He used the "simile" on more than one occasion.

    10. On the Monday day before the Hawaii game the Bammer Seniors went into Frans office and asked him point blank if he would be back.......He did not answer the question.

    11. Mike Riley will be the new coach @ Bammer if not him then probably Torbush. If Torbush takes the job many think it will be because the NCAA will be handing out more and possibly "deadly" sanctions.

    1. I've heard contact was made after the Oklahoma game. (No surprise here) I've also he heard he wanted Kansas job. Notre Dame wanted him but something about they did not want frannccio to hire his own staff??? Who knows.

    2. Havent heard but NOTHING would surpirise me as far as flim flam fran goes. I'd say his bridges are burned in college football. Been getting crushed nationwide. Even the Los Angeles Lakers radio announcers were frying his ass last night in pregame.

    3. I think 2 players have confirmed this. Fran said he LOVES Alabama  but yet has already asked Daniel Pope to come to aTm. I heard Pope told him to fuck off.

    4. Dont know

    5.Good one

6.Dont think so. No need to drive to the airport to tell him something that could have been said at the meeting. PBJ was there. No one NEEDED to tell Fran this.

    7. 12th fan registered a bunch of fran/aggie websites a week before. franocchio owns his website. The other will probably never be used.

    8. Doubt it. One of the coaches would have leaked this by now. Someone knew though (Lee Fobbs)

    9. so what. He called him something like that. I heard it and never thought twice about it. On a side note, the plane that fraggy flew to dallas in is owned by the same guy who owns WJOX. Bigtime aTm booster.

    10. Have not heard one player say this. He told the players in the locker room before the Hawaii game that all of these rumors were untrue and was going nowhere. Of course it's now obvious he can lie to anyone's face.

    11. I heard Riley was new HC yesterday. Apparently not yet official. Mike Stoops and Torbush have also said they are interested. Torbush said he wants it. Give it to him while he his name is big with his defense. Bammer? Where did you copy and paste this from?? A barn site or FSU?

I have no idea. The NCAA can do whatever they want.

In this weeks SPORTS ILLUSTRATED (cover subject was High School Athletes) there was a big write up on why the NCAA doesn't use the death penalty anymore; they saw what happened to SMU when it was imposed on them back in the mid 1980s; A program that was in the top 5-10 earlier in the decade (Erick Dickerson & Craig James were part of the Pony Express backfield . . I remember that :) !!!!) hasn't done squat since then!!!! They opened up a new 30,000+ seat on campus stadium no too long ago, but this still hasn't regenerated interest in the program. If they hadn't gotten in trouble, I wonder if they would've gone into the BIG XII after the Southewest Conference folded several years ago. I think they ended up in the WAC, which just doesn't generate much buzz in football mad Texas . .
