We have a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country EX Minivan...it's got 78,000 miles on it and runs like a champ. Only thing that's gone wrong is the volume controls on the steering wheel quit working.

I've had a Ford Explorer that was an absolute piece of shit...and the worst car of all times...Volvo S60 (2003)...can't say enough bad stuff about it....:double fuck:

The van has given no problems so far and is a pretty decent ride for a base model. I can not complain about it from that stand point.

My Explorer is a 2002 with 112k miles and it runs and looks brand new still. I have had to do some routine maintenance to it but the only thing that has broken was the ignition switch which only cost me about $80 to replace.

I had a brother that owned a 95 ford explorer. He put 265,000 miles on it. He never had to add a drop of oil to the tough 4.0 between oil changes. He sold it thinking the transmission was bad.Turned out to be the shift senser on the tranny,$65.00. The guy that bought it from him is still driving it. I did not mean to imply that all dodge products are bad. However in the past they have had more than their share of lemons. And sure ford and chevy owners have also had problems. But so do honda and toyota. I work with an officer that was a machanic at the honda place and he said honda had a lot of transmission problems out of the civics. He also said the toyota v6 engines made from 1995 through 2002 were bad to sludge up due to poor head design which leads to early engine failure. For years Toyota blamed it on the owners, saying they were not changing the oil often enough. But after several big lawsuits they are now QUIETLY replacing the engines at dealerships across the county. Another thing is the more popular a model is the more problems owners will report. I currently own a 2006 ford fusion I bought new. I have put 24,000 miles on it without a problem. I love the way this car looks, runs, drives and handles. In mixed driving I get 28 MPG. And for 2 years running it has ranked above the camry and civic in reliability in consumer reports mag.

I know what you are saying. I had a Dodge Durango a while back and it was a money pit. As soon as I got one things fixed something else would break. It had black leather seats and the AC could never keep up if it got over 90 degrees.

I have decided on a new plan for this car. I am going to increase my monthly payment to an amount the will have it paid off in 36 months. That is about as much as I can afford right now. It will be about even from an equity stand point in about two years based on blue book values for a comparable van that is two years older than mine with about two years worth of extra miles. I can then either keep it and have it paid for, trade it in or sell it.

It came with a seven year seventy thousand warranty so I should be good.

It has a hard time with my driveway. I live on a dirt road now and it is a little rough in places. It will be a hassle this winter when my wife and kids can not make it to the house and have park and walk in.

I wonder if anyone makes a lift kit for a Caravan? If I could get some 31x10.50s on that bad boy it would rock.
