So everyone knows unless Oklahoma or USC slip up, that will be the national title game, but what about the other BCS matchups. This should be the last year the Big East gets an automatic birth. Georgia is getting screwed to. Even if they beat Auburn and go 10-1 in the SEC they might not even make a BCS bowl. California might be good but they haven't even defeated a top 20 team this whole year. Sure Utah is undefeated, but am I the only one who thinks they don't belong in the top 10? If Boise State isn't there, they shouldn't be either.

Yes. Er, maybe. I hope Utah gets to play with the big boys in this year. Fiesta Bowl.

Just make sure to bet on whoever plays WVU. :xyzthumbs

Utah vs. West Virginia sounds like the worst BCS bowl in history. I think the Holiday Bowl would be better

That's probably gonna be it if they both win out.

It couldn't be worse than Fla/MD or Ore St/N Dame a few years back.

    Ok, well maybe it could.

Georgia shouldn't have lost to Tennessee - they have no one but themselves to blame.

If Georgia goes 10-1 and wins the SEC championship, don't they automatically get a BCS bid?

Utah has played, and thrashed, three BCS conference schools, including Texas A&M and UNC. Of course, A&M losing to Baylor won't help their cause. UNC beat Miami, while Utah whipped the Tarheels. There was a good article in SI last week about Utah that convinced me they belong (if they win out). There was a point-counterpoint sidebar and the guy that said they should get in made some valid points. The most the other guy could say is that there will be some good BCS conference schools looking from the outside in if Utah gets a bid. Well no shit.

Gotta get into the championship game first. Which would require Tenn losing to Vandy or Kentucky. :scared2:

Obviously Tennessee won't lose, so that leaves a 10-1 with no chance to win the conference title. Well, Oklahoma got into the national title game without winning the Big 12.

And I wish they hadn't taken strength of schedule out of the whole formula. That was definitely one thing they should've left in. If they had, Utah would be at about 10 right now.

taking out strength of schedule was indeed stupid. i think utah and boise st should have a play-in game for one of the bcs spots. love to see that game.
