BcS shake-up

the BCS is a damn joke. let the national title be decided on the field with a play off format. every fucking body else does it. why is D1 football different from EVEYBODY else? i love college football but this bcs/bowl shit has gone on for too damn long.

 

The point is

The BCS is BS for sure. Part of the problem is they NCAA like us bitching about it. They think in a warped sort of way that it makes the regular season more improtant. I love College Football more than any other sport, but it is insane that we don't have a playoff system. An IDIOT could set up a four team playoff, even use the BOWLS as the first round of the Four. It would add only ONE more game.

 

They should cut the schedules to 10 games and open the playoff field to include teams ranked 1-6 with #1 and #2 getting a bye. This would make use of the existing bowls still allowing a number of teams to play outside of the playoff format.

 

There is absolutly no way the season will be cut back to 10 games. My God, they just extended it to 12 to create more revenue. 10 games is not an option.

There in lies the problem. You convince the presidents of the major U's they could receive even more revenue through a tournament and you got yourselves a big time college playoff. So this is the way it stays till they figurer out how to make it pay.

It will happen, but not until the Good Ol' Boy network (the bowl committee's) starts to die off.
