If National Chumpionship is a blow out does the title go to USC?

If it is a close game, does USC get the nod?

We're going to start hearing some very loud cries for a playoff in the next few days!

My opinion will be held until the Sugar Bowl has completed, but right now I would call for USC to travel to the winner of the Sugar for a real championship game on Jan 24th.

absolutely..The winner of each game should get together and play. Screw the NCAA, do it on their own. Nothing can stop them from doing that.

They could play, but the NCAA doesn't have to recognize either as champs.

Yeah but couldn't the NCAA slam both schools with some kind of lawsuit or even ban them from future bowl games? Seems like an awful lot to risk.

I'm not sure. I wouldnt think they could touch them. College basketball teams play summer exhibtions that have nothing to with the NCAA all the time.

Let them try to do it. Congress is already looking at the BCS and not liking what they see. They'd have a mandated playoff next year if the NCAA said a peep.

yeah, I think it's gonna be hard to think of anyone other than USC as the national champs. What will happen if the coaches vote for USC instead of the winner of OU-LSU like they're supposed to? No matter what happens, it should be a USC championship or a split championship. There's no way the winner of OU-LSU should be recognized as the champ, but that's what the BCS spells out. Hopefully enough coaches have the balls to do the right thing. A championship game the week before the super bowl would be awesome.
