    Just do a tournament. FCS has a good idea now of having 20 teams so enough good teams, plus all conference champions to make it fair.

    I just wish they'd take the top 8 teams by whomever rankings and have them 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7... and winners move on to the next weekend starting in December. Playing all the games in the BCS bowl cities. By New Years day you could crown a "real" champion and there wouldn't be as much whining

    There would be more whining than ever. People would still complain about which teams get in, but also complain about seeding, the venues where the games get played, any controversies involved in the outcome, and the length of the season that would now stretch into late January at best. Then on top of that you'll have done serious damage to the value of the regular season. It amazes me that more people have realized by now what a stupid idea a college football playoff really is.
