I would like to see ucla beat oregon. This would mess up the bcs as much as anything else.

Iowa State beat Iowa & UConn, then blew out Texas Tech. They're not scrubs. And courtesy of Stewart Mandel:

Wins over current BCS Top 25 teams: Oklahoma State: 5, Alabama: 2.
Wins over current BCS Top 50 teams: Oklahoma State: 7, Alabama: 5.
Wins over FBS teams with winning records: Oklahoma State: 6, Alabama: 3.
Conference titles: Oklahoma State: 1, Alabama: 0.

More Stewart Mandel who - for some reason, although I can't imagine why - wasn't quoted back in this thread:

Where do you think Tom O'Brien's decision to run off Russell Wilson ranks among the dumbest decisions in the history of college football?
    -- J.D. Bolick, Denver, N.C.

Believe it or not, I understand what he was doing. It certainly looks dumb right now, but the fact is Wilson had offered little indication as of last spring that he'd be back for football season. Facing a possibility that his next quarterback, Mike Glennon, might transfer if made to wait on Wilson's decision, O'Brien did what he thought was best for his program's future. Unfortunately his current team is so bad in almost every area, I'm not sure how much future O'Brien has left. Even had Wilson stayed, he wouldn't be putting up the numbers he is in Madison if surrounded by the Wolfpack's underwhelming skill players, and he'd obviously be of no help to their horrendous, injury-plagued defense.

It's good for college football that we get to see what Wilson can do with a strong supporting cast. It's not so great for N.C. State. However, I've received numerous e-mails and tweets from Wolfpack fans who say they're rooting for Wilson and the Badgers. They say he's a good kid very deserving of this shot.

The dumbest quarterback handling I've ever seen remains Dirk Koetter in 2006 naming Sam Keller his starting quarterback one day, then changing to Rudy Carpenter the next, after which Keller transferred to Nebraska and all three of their careers went down the toilet.

that's nice, but does nothing to show that OKstate deserves more to play for a national title than Alabama.

as for Iowa State blowing out Texas Tech. hardly a big deal. Aside from a win over Oklahoma which you have to admit was an aberration, tech's wins this year are against Texas State, nevada, kansas and new mexico. Iowa State's one-point win over Northern Iowa is duly noted as well, as are its blowout losses to texas, baylor, mizzou, A&M and Oklahoma.

I wouldn't be surprised if some folks had already disagreed with you.

It doesn't prove that OSU is more deserving, but it certainly argues that compellingly. I personally believe that Alabama is the better team and would vote them as LSU's opponent if they hadn't already had their shot.

Thanks for linking a thread proving my point by giving an example of you being so incredibly stupid.

You forgot to address the other post involving Stewart Mandel. You see, he was apparently a genius when he agreed with you, but then persona non grata when he treated you like someone writing from his momma's basement.

i can't agree with that statement. fact is, bama lost to the number one team in the country. a more compelling argument could be made that alabama is a better team than LSU. OKstate losing to Iowa State tells a reasonable person that the cowboys wouldnt stand much of a chance against lsu or bama. whether alabama "had its shot" against LSU is irrelevant. those two teams are head and shoulders above any others and should play in the title game.

when OKstate loses to Oklahoma, it'll all be rendered moot anyway.
