MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL NCAAB and every other sport with a playoff system should copy what college football does. It only makes sense.

People will always find something to complain about. People complain about the NFL playoffs when a 7-9 team qualifies, and 10-6 teams don't. There's no perfect system. Life is unfair, deal with it.

Collin is a fvrkn dumbass with his resistance of a playoff for a REAL national championship. I couldn't give a rip about all that hair-brained horseshit he posted above.

Yeah, they should. Didn't the lockout prove that no one gives the tiniest shit about the NBA's regular season? Meanwhile a wild card team won the World Series yet again, proving that its regular season is virtually meaningless as well.

So the MLB postseason would be better if you take the two teams with the best record and let them play one game to determine the World Series champion?

That's the exciting part of a playoff system. It's fine if you want some computer to determine the top 8 or 10 teams, then you let the players go out there and determine who has the best team in all of College Football.

The regular season is not meaningless. If you fail to win the division or a wildcard spot, then you don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

You could also take the ACC/BIG 12/BIG Ten/PAC 12/SEC winners from the Championship games and give them an automatic bid. So that shows if you win your conference games during the regular season and win your conference Championship game, then you got a bid into the playoff system. Then you use the computer rankings to determine the other 5 wild card teams based off computer rankings.

Collin is a big fat pussy and it's wastes of oxygen like him that are the very reason the BCS system sucks so bad.

His ONLY reason why the current system is better is because it makes the regular season more exciting. WHO FUCKING CARES? Football fans don't. And thats all that matters. Yeah the NBA and MLB and NHL are three sports where many fans tune out during the regular season because fans only care about the playoffs.

But we aren't talking about NBA, MLB, NHL or hell, even college basketball. We are talking FOOTBALL. Football is a sport different any other. NFL football fans slobber over every meaningless regular season game - Seahawks at the Bengals? Fans are all over that shit. Just like they would be in college ball. With or without a playoff college football fans will still worship at the alter every damn Saturday.

AND will have a fucking month of PLAYOFF games to get juiced up about too.

On this board only that fat intellectually dishonest tub of gayness known as collin thinks otherwise.

FUCK OFF collin - nobody cares what you have to say about this subject anymore.

Major league baseball was vastly better back when it was just the two league winners playing a seven game World Series. Adding divisions and then wild cards meant that the regular season meant less and less. Look at St. Louis' previous championship in 2006. That team won 83 games during the regular season out of 162. 83. It was embarrassing that they were even involved in the postseason, but any team can get hot over a couple of weeks and they ended up being the supposed champions despite barely being above a losing record during the season. Or like B&B said, look at the Arizona Cardinals in 2009. That team went 9-7, but was a Santonio Holmes catch away from winning the Super Bowl. That's ridiculous.

But what does that prove? You're missing the whole fucking point. Playoff proponents shout like idiots about how the "best team" should be settled on the field, but a playoff doesn't do that at all. A playoff can be entertaining, but there's nothing stopping 6-5 UCLA from making the Pac-12 championship game, upsetting Oregon, and then running through the postseason tournament. They clearly wouldn't be the "best team," and in fact everyone would know that they're not a good team at all, but they'd just need to get hot and win a few games they weren't supposed to and suddenly they're national champions despite five regular season losses.

I appreciate you reminding everyone else what a complete and total moron you are. It's amazing that you have the intellect necessary to turn on a computer, much less use it. And no, you idiot, the regular season is absolutely not my "only" reason. I've posted numerous reasons, the regular season is just the most obvious and most important one.

I dont argue with people who like it the way it is anymore. I cant comprehend what is happening in the minds of fools that cant see how much better football would be with a playoff.
