Maybe you two can have a crying candlelight vigil for people so stupid as to disagree with you about what their favorite sport is.

I'm sorry you're defensive about your sports, both this and NASCAR. I apologize for not being smart enough to like what you like, so if you could attempt to insult me, that would probably be for the best, I'm sure. Thank you for your time, understanding, and patience. Now I'm going to move this to the baseball forum so we can get this silly, whiny shit out of here.

    Love, Mags

    P.S.
Yes, there are many great draft prospects to discuss, scenarios to suggest, since building a football team is done mostly in-house, and under a totally honest, fair system that has now regulated itself into parity and a decent chance for all teams, save the Cardinals. Thank you for your inquiries about the Greatest Game Ever and have a wonderful day thinking I'm an asshole for not liking what you like.

It's not about favorites, it's about people talking shit. I don't give a fuck if people like football better than baseball, good for them.

I'll get some candles ready though, just in case we decide to take you up on your suggestion.

yes, in house. Players do leave, players do thrive in non-drafted situations, but teams build through the draft. Not bought by elaborate trades or pushing the envelope of a soft cap as far as the money flows. It's the most effective draft situation in sports, regardless of the depth, breadth, or quantity of smily that envelopes your argument.

other than the yankees and maybe a couple other teams, baseball is much more in-house than you apparently think. oakland, minnesota, atlanta just to name a few.

yes, there aren't as many trades in football, but free agency there is just as much a factor as in baseball.

Before parity kicked in, certainly. Now it's a matter of getting "that player", rather than buying a team like it was in 94-98. FA is a necessary evil, but without a hard cap it'll never be fair across the board, and teams in the NFL cannot rely on it only.
