as much as i hate to say this, you gotta give it to a guy that changes a game. 5-0 lead, nobody on, and Arizona walks Barry. That was the dumbest shit ive seen in a long time in baseball. But when a single person changes the game like that, with his OBS, and his 42 home runs, you gotta give it to Bonds.

they walk him and take the bat out of his hands. I was reading some of his stats the other day ( Bonds) and it just blew me away

over .700 slugging%, over 600 OB%, about 20 RBIs below the league leaders with about 200 less ABs.

Imagine his numbers if they pitched to him all the time.

Did you see where the guy that got the 700th homerun picked it off the ground under another guy. Talk about luck. It is boggling to think of the respect Bonds gets from other teams in the bases on balls he gets. No one, not Mantle, Ruth, Mays no one has ever played has gotten as many free passes on average as Bonds. He completely changes the game when he plays.

Without me having to go look it up, does Bonds typically only hit home runs or strike out? Or does he get other hits besides home runs?

If he breaks the home run record by Aaron he'll never get full credit because of the steroid controversy.

i think he is within the "triple crown" numbers (BA, HR, RBIs) not to mention OB%
