well i think a main problem that has forced churches to address the gay population right now.. is the marriage part of it.. and marriage is one of the most sacred things in the eyes of God and the churches want to make sure that marriage doesnt get tainted because where do most weddings take place? in churches.. and as for the bible being word of God.. it most definitely is the inspired word of God.. God controls everything in this world and so he can give the people the words to put down into the book. Homosexuality is a choice its not like race ... Without God, we all would live unruly and sick lives but the reason there must be guidelines is because without it there would be total chaos.. there didnt need to be guidelines until sin entered the world and once sin entered, that created a sense of wild living. And yes theres lots of covenants that go to the nation israel. the new covenant was for the new generation of christians.

 

So is blatant ignorance.
