Speilberg and Hanks produced it and directed an episode or two each.

I've seen it three times now, plus read the book. An excellent story!

    Just finished the 4th episode...

The expression on that girls face is still lingering in my head. (The one at the farmhouse).

I need to get the DVD set. I'm not sure if I caught them all on HBO, but my favorite was when they were out in the snow with all hell breaking loose, and it was kind of a stalemate for a while. And the one dude was needing boots really bad. That was awesome. Excellent series, it kinda made me realize why I could never get my grandpa to talk much about the war. He was in the division that went into Libya, across the desert, and then up through Italy.
