    Great, Great Series.
I heard some talk of doing a Pacific Theatre version of this as well, not sure if that's legit or not. I think that would be great if the same team creates the show.

for you gamers out there, take a look at brothers in arms -- it's a tactical shooter based on a the same sort of vibe with good game play, nice graphics, and a decent storyline.

I'd watch it. Of course they would have to find another unit to follow throughout the course of the War. I think that is what makes B O B unique. You really get to know the characters. A couple of the episodes are unique through the eyes of one particular character, which helps in relating to and imagining what it must have been like to be in those types of situations.

Saw the add for the DVD tonight. BTW the sound track is awesome. I remember having it in my head for days.

    Read the book too.

I think what makes it for me is to see the REAL guys talking about what went on and how they felt before and after the episode.

absolutely -- the stories from the real guys is huge gotta love a well made war epic - and, what, 16 hours or so is pretty friggin epic.

i love how it follows the characters all the way from the basic training thru to the end of the war.

The best quirk of the whole story is that the lead character, when he took the Luger of the German officer at surrender, he said it never fired a shot. And he kept it as a symbol that it never will fire a shot. Something like that.

I had many a tear in my eye watching some of those episodes.

One of the better episodes I think is "Why We Fight", when a patrol comes across a concentration camp and is met with the conflict of whether to feed the prisoners or keep them locked up for their own good so they don't eat themselves to death. The events portrayed are no exageration, I've watched documentary film of the British liberation of camps similar to this, and the portrayal of the death and pain is right on point. Nothing I have seen combines action with this type of gut wrenching drama, and is a glimpse into what it was like to be there.

OK, so been watching this series on Demand the past few days when I can. Have watched the first 4 so far, gotta admit it's a lot better watching it from the start and not missing anything.

Don't know if I will buy the DVD just yet, since I can watch them for free right now, but is definately worth it.

    Great action, angles and stories/mission.

It does remind me of Brother in Arms or Medol of Honor games some.

The only complaint I have is the character play by Ross(David Swimmer) or something like that is his real name. All I can see is Ross on friends. Wish they would have picked somebody else that I could actually see in the military.
