So, some govt knucklehead wants teams banned from the NCAA Tournament if their graduation rate is less than 40%. Seems kinda pointless unless they change the way the graduation rate is calculated. Maryland at 8%? If this was in place today, Kentucky, Maryland, California, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Washington, Tennessee, Baylor, Missouri, New Mexico State, Clemson, Georgia Tech and Louisville would be banned from the tournament.

    Ga Tech? lol.

If it keeps Kentucky out, I'm all for it.

Give Calipari long enough and he'll keep Kentucky out all by himself.

The was the graduation rate is calculated would have to be changed for this to make any sense. Players transferring to another school or leaving early for the NBA count against the school and no doubt contribute to the low rates at some schools. Take those out and then they may be onto something. Nevertheless, it won't happen since the NCAA is all about money. If they actually cared about students education there would be no 9pm weeknight games, etc.

It'll never happen. The government knucklehead needs to find something else to bitch about. The dollar is king.
