I don't really think it was playcalling.

4th and inches at your 39. No. Punt. Less than 2 minutes to go. Croyle isn't a guy you want to sneak it with that shoulder. You fail their, and you give us 50 yards of field position.

I'm not a fan of zone coverage on 4th and 19. That one sucks.

Never answer the phone in that situation, Ssstern.

When it is your wife you do. She was calling not at our usually time(9) and I though there might have been a problem at home.

    after my post..........

We left for O'Charley's, waited 30 minutes for a table, got seated and I'm scanning the tv's and I see this game is still going....could'nt believe it. I feel so bad for those Bama kids after all they've been through this off season and I aint really a bama fan. Life aint fair sometimes.

This has got to be the greatest game played in this rivalry in recent memory. Both teams played gutty ballBama keptgashing UT with run plays, but then on short yardage we'd come up big.

Defenses dominated, then offenses. We saw long bombs go for TDs, blocked Field Goals, dives for pile ons, 4th down conversions by both squads, multiple endzone or bust drives converted, just a great performace.

UT receivers dropped a lot of passes today. Also Ut had 3 fumbles in the 1st. They let ALA stay in the game all day.

That's been our MO all year. We haven't had a good opening half offensively all year.

We had some drops, this is Banks first year at the position, ever.

Casey threw a few a little high though. Should have been caught still.

We never really tried to stretch the defense, until we absolutely had too. I'll give this criticism of Fulmer's approach. Houston isn't a great back, I could get 3 yards off Munoz. Davis is a bulldozer only, good speed but no moves. But what we do have is very good, though admittedly young, recievers. And yet we get into 3rd and 6 and run 7 yard routes.

And when we've absoultely had to open it up, we've had success. Think about what we might be able to do if they were suprised.
