    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tim Burnette, one of three players to average in double figures for North Carolina-Wilmington, won’t play in the first round of the NCAA tournament Friday against defending champion Maryland.
    Seahawks coach Brad Brownell announced Thursday that Burnette was suspended indefinitely for violating unspecified team rules before the squad traveled to Nashville.
    No. 11 seed UNC-Wilmington (24-6), which won the Colonial Athletic Association tournament, upset Southern California in the first round last year.
    Burnette, a 6-2 junior, averaged 11 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. Brownell hasn’t decided who will take the starting spot, though junior Joel Justus (3.0 points) is the likely candidate.

    I saw that... I hate it. Because of Maryland's History in the NCAA (losing early) I thought we had an outside chance.

    Burnett had some problems before... Team chemistry will be thrown off now. They are not a fantastic team but they are just good enough to hand with a lot of teams... :mad:
