Bad News For The Apps

    It was announced today that Gary Tharrington of Appalachian State is academiacally eneligible for the upcoming season. Tharrington was the heart and soul of a young defensive front line that came together during the season to capture a third NCAA FCS National Championship. Tharrington stepped up and became the leader of the unit, and played through several injuries and pain. Hopefully Gary can hit the books and get restored for next season.

    Tharrington is a loss, but I don't think it will be huge. He was hurt alot of last season, they return the rest of their DL that didn't really start to play well until the playoffs last year (then they played great), plus they've had a couple of transfers that are supposed to be good.

    not a big loss at all ,we have a good group of d linemen that are ready to get after it.
