he got the start by default. Webber has had a back injury for the stretch Shav got to start. he certainly didnt outplay him for the nod

Webber can't even walk, much less ball. Now neither can Shav.

Anyway, since we have to qualify EVERYTHING on this board, how's this:

Webber in 30 min a game shot 38% from the field, 57% FT, 10.6 pts and 8.6 boards a game.

Shav put up his numbers in 14 min, less than half the time. He shot a higher percentage, and could actually move laterally. He nearly got more offensive boards and blocked more shots in less than half the time. I'd say he was outplaying Webber, which is why Webber got benched. Saying Webber is injured is pretty obvious, he always is anymore.

sounds like Jason Kendall's injury from a few years back. that was nasty to look at. Moises Alou had a similar injury while he was with the Expos.

Shav, "with the help of God", says he'll be back for the 2nd half of the season, we'll see if God shines on him or not.

My guess is God's on that right after he fixed Shaun Alexander's foot.

Nothing wrong with faith but I hate these statements. Makes it look like God didn't care when he doesn't heal as fast as he hopes. Here's hoping Shav will be ok, but I doubt he'll play anymore this season.
