    I do public address for AAU tournaments in North Carolina (the state championships are in Concord this weekend). It's freakin' AMAZING how much these kids are pampered. I mean, we're talking 10-year-old kids with three different uniforms, vests, fitted hats, and pullover warmups. Un-freakin-real. And the parents are totally unbearable.

    If you do that in Concord, then I'll go out on a limb and guess that you know who Donnie Broome is???

    You don't have to get into specifics but "Are you compensated well?"

    Having contributed a healthy sum of $$$ to Concord's AAU coffers, I'd like to know that if any of it funnels down to the PA guy.


    I know we're way off topic, but it is amazing to watch these teams. I've observed coaches ignoring the games but just looking for names of sponsors so that they can start working on them for the next season.

    It's almost like high school sports are being supplanted by AAU and club teams, and that really sucks.
