He sullied the name of one of the greatest horror films of all time by making Aliens 2. Also, there was this:

 

Alien 2 is Aliens. There is no Aliens 2, at least not by Cameron.

Also, Aliens is generally considered to be a superior film to Alien.

 

Only a fucking serious idiot would consider Alien2 a better film than the original. And no, I don't particularly care what you like.

 

But Cameron didn't make the first Alien

Alien 2 is a totally different film than the original so I don't know how you could even begin to compare the two.

 

I never gave my opinion, bright guy, but Aliens was rated better and is considered a better film.

I'm sure all those critics who liked it better are serious fucking idiots, but compared to your genius (as evidenced by all your posts here) everyone is one!

I liked Aliens better than Alien.

Avatar looks good and it is in 3D, so I'll go see it.

With the exception of Titanic, I have liked James Cameron's films.

Alien, the original directed by Ridley Scott, is widely considered one of the Top 5 horror films of all time filled with darkness and psychological terror. You barely even see the monster. The chest bursting scene was one of the most powerful moments in film history at the time. The set was brilliantly designed by HR Giger.

Aliens is a cheap Hollywood cowboy film and James Cameron was the hack hired to make that moneymaker riding on the success of the first one. You display your lack of sophistication by saying you liked it better.

 

"The Thing" has to be in that category as well. That movie still gives me the creeps.

 

I agree. Carpenter has a couple of his movies in the Top 10.
