Proposed trade sending DJ to Indianapolis for guard George Hill [/URL]. Supposedly the Bobcats are interested in Ramon Sessions from the Lakers.

    From Insider:
Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports the Charlotte Bobcats may have interest in Ramon Sessions.

The Bobcats could be in the market for a backup point guard, like Sessions if the team trades D.J. Augustin. There were rumors Wednesday night that Charlotte is talking with the Indiana Pacers about a sign-and-trade involving Augustin, reports Mike Wells of The Indianapolis Star.

The Pacers need another point guard after trading Darren Collison, along with Dahntay Jones, to the Dallas Mavericks for Ian Mahinmi.

According to Bonnell, head coach Mike Dunlap will likely make Kemba Walker the starting point guard to run his up-tempo offense, which means Augustin probably doesn't have a long-term future with the club. So he could be traded to another team if a deal can't be completed with the Pacers.

Did you bring up George Hill or did Rick Bonnell? Hill signed a 5 year, $40 million contract with the Pacers and couldn't be traded until January even if the notion of Indianapolis trading him for Augustin wasn't absurd on its own. Hill is actually a good player. Reportedly the Bobcats withdrew their qualifying offer on Augustin and he's reached a one year deal with the Pacers. And Sessions is going to be the starting PG.

Yeah, and I know Bonnell is full of shit about that. Sessions was starting PG for the Lakers. If he was settling for a backup job then he would have gone to a playoff team.

Just signed by Bobcats, after Bobcats resend offer to DJ. I guess Indianapolis backed out.

Sessions and Walker should compete for the starting spot. Whoever is playing better should get the job. It should be that way for every roster spot on the team. MKG should have to beat out Taylor if he wants to start.

Walker can't compete with Sessions anyway, but you don't get Sessions to sign if you don't promise him the starting job.
