Awesome what I've heard so far. Was a huge Soundgarden and Rage fan and this combines the best of both. Jerry Cantrell is a great lead singer and the guys from Rage can throw down. All I've heard is Cochise and clips from the other songs, but if this is any indication then hang on.

Yeeesss. Err and myself love them so far. Nothing better than smoking cigarettes and looking at porn while listening to Audioslave.

  3. wait, wait, wait... Jerry Cantrell is in Audioslave as well? Damn! I heard a song (Cochise?) a while ago and totally recognized Chris Cornell's voice. Didn't realize it was Tom Morrello on guitar, tho. Sounded like Soundgarden to me, really.

When does the album come out?

No smashmouth got it wrong. It's Chris Cornell not Jerry Cantrell.

    The album comes out tomorrow.

  5. oh, okay.

what is Jerry up to these days? I always thought he was a better singer than Layne Staley...

He has his own band now. He was at Center City Fest this summer. He wasn't too bad. His guitarist would sing some of the Alice stuff and he sucked at it. But they were loud, very loud.

I think it sounds like Chris Cornell singing to RATM. I guess that's what it was supposed to be. God I hope they don't tour cause he can't sing for shit live. Good music though. I miss Zach.:(

  9. I didn't realize it was pretty much Rage with Cornell on vocals. I had heard that he was working with them, but it was so long ago I figured the line-up probably was different.

You can really tell by the bass. At least on Cochise you can. Totally RATM.

Sorta like Cornell's solo album. Sounded like him singing for the band 11 (which it basically was).

I don't think this band will be as politically motivated as RATM.
