Samething happened against the Cards in the playoffs. If that first drive goes well and we get a lead we should not let Jake drop back again unless we get behind.

Can't hide your quarterback in this league. You'll lose. He has to produce, or someone else will get a shot.

Doesn't mean we make the sky dark with footballs, but we can't hide him.

Yeah, we can't just do nothing but run, but we need to run as much as possible. With DW, Stewart, and Goodson we should be able to get yardage and eat clock without passing much. Obviously this won't work if we get way behind, so ball control. If we can run, Jake should be able to pass sometimes, but when he gets pressure, he still always holds on to the ball too long - either throw it away or take the sack. Sometimes I wish Steve Smith wasn't even out there so Jake would quit trying to force it to him. We have other receivers. Other teams can adjust to the blitz - why can't we??

SilverSurfer-WERD, we get behind and Jake tries to force it to Smith.

Since Atlantas bye week last year, they are averaging 24.58 points a game (including their post season loss to AZ), and they dropped 45 on us the last time we played.

Over that same time frame our offense is averaging 26.67 points a game but our D is giving up 25.25.
